About American Public Health Association Education

American Public Health Association (APHA) champions the health of all people and all communities. APHA combines a 150-year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence U.S. federal policy to improve the public's health. This includes ensuring access to care, protecting funding for core public health programs and services and eliminating health disparities.

American Public Health Association Education provides professional development for public health professionals and those interested in public health. On the AMA Ed Hub, APHA features an educational series on advancing racial equity, which covers such topics as reproductive justice, environmental justice, re-imagining policing and housing as a human right. Learners will gain a better understanding of racism’s historic and present-day impact on health and well-being.
