Methamphetamine Use Disorder in Pregnancy

This session discusses care and outcomes in pregnant and postpartum individuals using methamphetamines in pregnancy. Additionally, recommendations for prenatal and addiction care for pregnant and postpartum individuals will be examined and the models of integrated care that may prove useful for future investigation will be discussed. Upon completion, learners will be able to:

1. Describe the complications of pregnancy that result from the use of methamphetamines in pregnancy.

2. Describe addiction outcomes associated with pregnancy in women with methamphetamine use disorder.

3. Identify elements of prenatal and addiction care that might provide greater success in the future.
