This Code of Medical Ethics module explores why romantic and sexual interactions between physicians and patients or key third parties undermine trust in the patient physician relationship. As part of the Boundaries for Physicians series, this module further explores why relationships between trainees and supervisors are problematic. Case studies are used to demonstrate how to navigate this range of challenging scenarios.
