Within the EHR Workflow Learning Series medical students will learn systematic and efficient ways to transform an electronic health record (EHR) into their ally. In this micro learning course about collecting and prioritizing patients you will learn how to leverage the EHR to manage a panel of patients and stay up to date on results, describe the value of customizing lists for different purposes, and define the patient list feature in the EHR and how it can be used to help you plan for pre-rounding. You will also learn how to identify the value of incorporating an initial planning step into your pre-rounding process and examine the privacy and security risks associated with patient lists, especially in printed format.
