Estimates were generated using a series of models to collate and standardize data coming from 183 sources. Unpublished estimates of health care spending from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, not reported in this article, are also available in this data visualization tool.

Use the settings at the top to select the view, year, and sex. Use the drop-down menu in the flow diagram to select age, type of care, and group of conditions. This data visualization tool was developed by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.
