A man in his 50s with pseudophakia underwent 25-gauge vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade for a macula-on rhegmatogenous retinal detachment of the right eye. Three months later, the patient then presented for a routine examination. Best-corrected visual acuity was 6/12 OD and 6/6 OS. There were no other visual complaints or complications noted. On anterior segment examination, emulsification of silicone oil was present inside the capsular bag (Figure). The patient had no other complications attributable to the silicone oil.
