Cinematic rendering is a new technique for realistic 3D visualization of cross-sectional CT imaging data. This video illustrates an animation of cinematic rendering of an hepatobiliary tumor. This and images like it were used to assess general surgery residents’ and attendings’ understanding of tumor anatomy compared to CT. In the study, participants reviewed this animation and corresponding CT images and were asked to determine if the tumor was supplied by vessels from the left hepatic artery.
