Excerpt From Derrame Cerebral, a Video Telenovella To Educate Hispanic Churchgoers About Stroke Warning Signs

Stroke preparedness, the ability to recognize that a stroke is occurring and appropriately call 911, is low among black and Hispanic individuals and may be partly responsible for outcome disparities in acute stroke. Investigators produced a 12-minute video and distributed the video to Hispanic churchgoers to improve their recognition of symptoms and intent to call 911.
