This study aimed to investigate whether the use of artificial intelligence can guide novice healthcare professionals in performing the Focused Assessment With Sonography in Trauma (FAST) examination, which has been shown to reduce the time to operative care, shorten hospital stay, and lower medical costs. This video is a demonstration of an artificial intelligence–guided ultrasonography. The image quality and confidence level of the interpretation are displayed in the upper left corner, and the interpretation result of the presence of ascites is displayed in the upper right corner. When the scanning position is correct, a prompt will appear to instruct the operator to “hold the probe.” The system is designed to provide real-time feedback to the operator on the quality of the imaging and interpretation as well as provide guidance on how to optimize the scanning process.
