Ex-PRESS Shunt for Uveal Effusion Syndrome

Ex-PRESS shunt implantation was performed in 3 eyes of 2 patients with uveal effusion syndrome without nanophthalmos. In all of the eyes, exudative choroidal retinal detachment associated with uveal effusion syndrome resolved shortly after the device implantation. Ex-PRESS shunt implantation without vortex vein decompression or scleral windows is an effective surgical option for the management of significant uveal effusion syndrome.
